SEMESTER FOUR

There are seven (6) courses in this semester. A student shall be required to sit for an Examination Council of Health Sciences (ECOHS) External Examination (Intermediate Examination). A student shall be deemed eligible to write the Intermediate Examination if s/he obtains 50% of the continuous assessment in each course. Continuous assessment shall carry 40% of the total final grade in each course. The final examination in each course shall constitute 60%. The Intermediate Examination shall be conducted at the end of second year. A student shall be deemed to have passed the intermediate examination if s/he obtains 50% or more marks in each course which includes continuous assessment and final examination. A student who obtains grade D in maximum three (3) courses will be required to write supplementary examination in the courses failed. A student who obtains grade D in four (4) courses will be required to repeat the semester A student may repeat a semester only once. A student who passes supplementary examinations shall be awarded a grade of P for pass
